ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – An early season NCAA Championship provisional qualifying mark was achieved by ASC sophomore Dyson Mortensen (La Jara, Colo.) on Friday night as the Grizzly sprinters, jumpers and throwers kicked off the 2011 portion of their indoor track & field season on Friday evening at the Univ. of New Mexico-hosted Cherry & Silver Invitational at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Many Grizzlies were in action for the first time this season on day one of the two-day event which takes place at the same venue that Adams State will be hosting the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field National Championships on March 11-12.
