ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— Junior Jenna Bohnen (Erie, Colo.) set a NCAA Championship provisional qualifying and personal best mark in the 20-pound weight throw as four throwers, three jumpers and three sprinters represented the Adams State College women’s indoor track and field team as the Grizzlies got the 2011 portion of the season underway Friday evening at the University of New Mexico’s Cherry & Silver Invitational here in the Albuquerque Convention Center, which is again serving as the Grizzlies’ unofficial second home this season.

The Grizzlies are one of more than a dozen teams competing in the non-scored meet, most of which hail from the Division I ranks.

Adams State, which will co-host the NCAA Division II National Championships with the Albuquerque Convention & Visitors Bureau for the second straight year in March, will also compete here on each of the next two weekends as well as on Saturday during the meat of this weekend’s slate which will resume Saturday at 10 a.m.
