ALAMOSA, Colo. – One day after topping the list in the national and regional preseason cross country polls, the Adams State College Grizzly squad has been unanimously named the No. 1 team in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Cross Country Preseason Coaches’ Poll, it was announced Thursday by conference officials. Adams State was the unanimous selection in the RMAC women’s coaches’ poll as well, and sophomore Alicia Nelson was the conference’s lone Preseason All-RMAC Team unanimous selection. The men’s squad garnered 10 first place votes in the poll in which each of the league’s 11 cross country coaches ranks the opposition from 1-10 without voting for their own team. The Grizzlies, who have claimed five straight RMAC crowns, have also been the preseason favorite for the last five years and the unanimous choice for the last three.
