GOLDEN, Colo. – The Colorado School of Mines men's cross country was picked to finish third in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Pre-Season Poll while the women were picked to finish fifth as announced today by the RMAC. Ben Zywicki was named Pre-Season All-RMAC. The Oredigger men were also ranked third in the Central Region rankings and in the USTFCCCA Division II National Pre-Season Poll. CSM returns their top five finishers from the 2009 squad that placed third at the NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships. The squad's third-place finish marked the best-ever finish at the Championships by a cross country team at Mines, male or female. Zywicki and Aaron Swift were both All-Americans during the 2009 cross country season and return to the squad as seniors in 2010.
